My love for travel began during a time in my life when I needed a fresh start. Following a tragic family loss, I found myself searching for something that would bring joy and a renewed sense of purpose. Travel became that outlet. What started as an escape quickly grew into an obsession and a deep appreciation for discovering new places, cultures, people, and experiences. I feel incredibly fortunate to have turned that passion into a career, helping others experience the same sense of wonder that travel has brought to my life.
I had the opportunity to fall in love with Peru during a last-minute girls’ trip, an experience so special that I was fortunate to return with Audley and discover even more of what makes the country extraordinary. From the breathtaking landscapes and slower pace of life in the Sacred Valley to the unforgettable wonder of Machu Picchu and the vibrant energy of Cusco, Peru is a destination that stays with you long after you’ve left.
My travels also brought me to Ecuador, where I quickly found another country to fall in love with. The incredible wildlife and natural beauty of the Galapagos Islands were unforgettable, while the charm of the humble small towns outside Quito, the awe of the Amazon jungle, and the dramatic landscapes surrounding Cotopaxi offered a completely different perspective of the country. It was the combination of wildlife, adventure, authentic local experiences, and remarkable scenery that made Ecuador such a special destination.
I’m deeply passionate about helping travelers discover the heart of South America, a region I believe is profoundly underrated. From exploring ancient Incan history and connecting with local communities to witnessing extraordinary wildlife and jaw-dropping landscapes, Peru and Ecuador offer incredible journeys that only scratch the surface of what’s possible.

Q&A with Amanda
What’s your most vivid travel moment?
For me, it’s a tie for my most vivid travel memory. On one hand, I was snorkeling between two tectonic plates in Iceland, swimming through near-freezing, crystal-clear glacier water that felt completely otherworldly. On the other hand, while on safari in South Africa, friends and I watched an incredibly rare moment: a mother leopard and her brand-new cub moving through the bush. We were the first people to see this mother and new baby, since the leopard had given birth in secret. One was a surreal, silent dive into the earth, while the other was a rush of pure wildlife magic.
What tips would you give to people who want to visit Peru and Ecuador?
Staying hydrated is the best way of avoiding your chances of getting altitude sickness when traveling through Peru and Ecuador. Drinking plenty of water, combined with local remedies like coca or muña tea and a bit of sugar, can make a big difference. It’s also important to note that high-altitude weather shifts from cold, dry mornings and nights to intense, high-UV daytime sun that quickly heats things up. To stay comfortable and protected, make sure to pack plenty of layers and apply plenty of sunscreen whenever you are exploring outdoors.
Where would you love to travel next?
My number one travel destination right now is a trip through Thailand and Vietnam. I deeply admire the culture, spirituality, gastronomy, and way of life across both countries. More than anything, I want to explore the stunning ancient temples, try authentic khao soi in Chiang Mai, trek through the iconic rice terraces in Sapa, and see the massive limestone cliff beaches that make both places so breathtaking.
