My enthusiasm for Latin America is rooted in my heritage and upbringing. Raised by my Colombian and Costa Rican family, I was immersed in our culture every day through authentic meals, the Spanish language, lively music, and lots of dancing.
I’ve expanded my travels beyond Latin America, though my heart always brings me back to my roots. I’m constantly in awe of how eclectic Central and South American countries are, yet how consistently one can observe the importance of family, artistic expression, and respect for nature.
Between my personal background and my professional experience as a former social worker, cultural competency and cultural humility are at the forefront of everything I do. I’m so grateful to continue to honor my passions by spending my days connecting with diverse travelers and using my creativity to craft unique experiences for my clients. I look forward to collaborating on a new adventure with you.

Q&A with Jasmine
Where would you love to travel next?
I’d love to explore the northern Peruvian Amazon via an Amazon River cruise from Iquitos. I’ve been to the Southern Peruvian Amazon and Ecuadorian Amazon, both at ecolodges. I’m eager to travel on a riverboat and to do more hiking and canoeing as daily activities, but this time return to the comfort of an air-conditioned suite with panoramic windows, live music onboard, and gourmet, local cuisine. I hope to be able to spot pink dolphins, as this area is known for them.
What’s the best local dish you’ve tasted?
Ceviche As a Boston native, I truly enjoy eating fresh, local seafood when I travel. As I’ve explored Latin America, I’ve had the opportunity to try different versions of ceviche, a flavorful seafood dish cooked in citrus. Ecuador and Peru have a bit of a rivalry when it comes to ceviche, and Peru wins in my book. Often served with leche de tigre sauce and locally sourced sweet potatoes, it makes for the perfect starter or mid-day snack.
What’s your most vivid travel moment?
While I was having dinner with other guests at an ecolodge in Bocas del Toro, Panama, the guide informed us that we happened to be there during the perfect conditions for seeing bioluminescence and invited us out on an impromptu nocturnal excursion. We all gathered our snorkeling gear, headed out to sea, and hopped into the water. I was amazed by the bright blue light all around me as I moved my arms and legs in the water. It was such a unique experience. All I could feel was gratitude for being able to witness such natural beauty.
