Latin America Specialist

Born and raised in Peru, I grew up immersed in the rich traditions of Inca culture and a family who believed that the best way to learn was by exploring.

From hiking in the Andes to navigating the Amazon, I’ve traveled to 19 of Peru’s 24 regions and spent countless summers in northern Peru and across the Ecuadorian border enjoying local dishes like patacones and ceviche de conchas negras, sparking my curiosity about our neighboring country.

My passion for food, culture, and nature led me to study tourism and complete a hospitality internship in Hawaii, where I began my career in the service industry. Over the years, I’ve explored much of Latin America and Europe, always seeking deeper connections with places and people.

At Audley, I’m excited to craft meaningful, tailor-made journeys for travelers who want to experience the true heart of Peru and Ecuador — just as I have.

Q&A with Nataly

Galapagos shark

What's your most vivid travel moment?

One of my most unforgettable travel moments was snorkeling in Hawaii when a Galapagos shark swam directly towards me and my friends at the surface, less than two feet from my face. Our guide explained she was asserting dominance, and it that moment, I felt so small in the vast ocean. I thought it was a once in a lifetime experience, until I swam with the same species again in the Galapagos Islands, along with three hammerhead sharks. This second encounter was far less terrifying but just as unforgettable. It reminded me how powerful, humbling, and thrilling nature can be.

Lake Pehoe, Torres Del Paine

Where would you love to travel next?

My dream destination is Patagonia. I’ve been to Chile a few times and I’m always mesmerized by how the Andes rise behind Santiago, such an impressive sight. While I’ve explored parts of southern Chile, Patagonia has always called my name. Its wild landscapes, glaciers, and raw beauty make it one of the last frontiers I’m eager to experience firsthand.

Cuzco, Peru

Your best piece of travel advice?

Listen to your body when travelling to high-altitude destinations. Everyone acclimates differently, so take it slow when you arrive. In Peru, you’ll often be offered muña or coca tea at hotels, which are natural ways locals use to ease altitude symptoms. There are also other remedies, like patches or pills that have worked well for me personally. I always recommend speaking with your doctor beforehand, but rest, hydration, and a flexible pace go a long way.
