Rooms
The hotel offers four room categories, with the spacious deluxe room as its entry level. These come in separate chalets of four rooms to maximize privacy, as do the deluxe rooms with attic, which is the next room category comprising extra single beds. It's ideal for families. Slightly removed from the rest of the complex and lying among a small wooded enclave are a series of wooden chalets, which feature as the third category of room. Aliya also has the option of suite rooms, which feature two large bedrooms, a private pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna.
Location
With 'Lion's Rock' visible from the hotel, this is one of the most conveniently located properties in the area for exploring Sigiriya's ancient fortress. Other highlights of the Cultural Triangle, including Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura and the Dambulla caves, are also all possible day-trips from Aliya.
Food and drink
Aliya's three restaurants offer its guests plenty of scope for choice. Chinese cuisine is the focus in one restaurant. There's also the Migara bar and café, which enjoys panoramic views and provides a relaxing jazz soundtrack for pre-dinner drinks or mid-morning pick-me-ups.
