Itinerary idea in detail

Private customized tour. Ask us about booking your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Upon arrival in Copenhagen, you'll be met at the airport and driven to your centrally located hotel. Once you've settled in, embark on a two-and-a-half-hour bike tour, passing by many of the city's major landmarks with a small group.

  • Today, join a small group for a bread-baking cookery class with a professional chef. You'll learn how to make both traditional rye bread and Danish pastries. Spend the rest of the afternoon on your own with our suggestions. You might use the time to explore the city's many history museums or art galleries.

  • Glide through the heart of Copenhagen in your own personal kayak on a guided tour. You'll pass by the Thorvaldsen Museum, Christiansborg Palace, the Stock Exchange, and the Royal Library with your small group.

  • Board a train for the journey across the Øresund Bridge to Sweden, through Malmö and up the scenic west coast to Gothenburg, the world's most sustainable city.

  • Spend your day exploring the city on your own. You can head over to Haga, Gothenburg's old town, and while away hours in the boutique shops and galleries that line its cobblestone streets. Be sure to make time for fika, just like the locals would.

  • Today, board a traditional archipelago boat to explore the northern archipelago, the Bohuslän, all the way up to Marstrand, Sweden’s sailing capital. Marstrand lies at the end of the northern Gothenburg Archipelago, where the open sea begins, and is one of the prettiest towns in Sweden. Renowned for its scenery, wooden buildings, car-free roads and nautical culture, this feels a world away from the bustling, cosmopolitan Gothenburg.

  • Hop back on the train today, journeying from west to east across Sweden's pastoral heart. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. You can cycle through leafy Skeppsholmen and around the pretty local parks. Hearty souls might take a dip in the water off the pier.

  • With our suggestions, you can spend the day on your own exploring the Swedish capital today. You might head to Gröna Lund, one of Europe's best-known amusement parks, or take a ferry out into the archipelago for some island-hopping.

  • Your local driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel this morning for a private, five-hour tour of two of Djurgarden’s best-loved and most family-friendly museums: Junibacken and Skansen. Junibacken is a whimsical park that recreates the settings of Astrid Lindgren’s renowned books. Go to a show, ride the story mini-train or meet beloved fictional characters like Pippi Longstockings, Alfie Atkins and Mamma Moo. Skansen, founded in 1891, is the world’s oldest open-air museum. You can walk among 150 houses and farms from different eras across Sweden. You'll also see traditional skills being demonstrated by people in historical costume.

  • You'll be picked up at your hotel today and driven to the airport with plenty of time for your onward flight.
