Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • After checking into your hotel, you'll make your way to the Palm Spring Aerial Tramway for a bird's-eye view of this beautiful part of California. The tramway operates along the rugged cliffs of Chino Canyon and up to Mt. San Jacino State Park, where you’ll find restaurants, observation decks, a museum and quite a few hiking trails. The ride to the top is in the world’s largest rotating tram cars, which allow you to take in sweeping views over the canyon and valley floor from all angles.

  • This morning, explore the unique architecture of Palm Springs and the homes of the Hollywood stars who have lived and played there. Learn about the architects, designers and builders who created the style known as Desert Modernism during the period between the 1930s and 1970s. You'll see distinctive homes, celebrity hideaways, familiar film locations, and well-preserved commercial and civic buildings, as well as other structures that provide variety to the Palm Springs cityscape.

  • Today, you'll venture out of the city to Joshua Tree National Park, where the Mojave and Colorado deserts intersect. The park is home to expansive desert landscapes, unique rock formations, and of course the eponymous Joshua tree. There are a variety of hiking trails for all levels as well as quite a few points of interest that are just off the road through the park.

  • Today, you'll explore an area well known to everyone living in California, the San Andreas Fault. You will learn about its fascinating geology from your specialist guide, as well as hear how Native American tribes managed to survive in the arid environment. Driving around in an open 4x4, you’ll stop to admire steep-walled canyons, underground springs and gnarled rock formations twisting into the sky.

  • Today, you will head back to Los Angeles for your flight home.
