Royal Hawaiian Hotel
Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Oahu, Hawaii
A playground for international royalty, Hollywood heavyweights and heads of state, this legendary, luxury 'Pink Palace of the Pacific' stands in ten acres of prime Waikiki beachfront.
Built in 1927, this Spanish Moorish hotel was exclusively leased to the US Navy in 1942 as a rest center for those serving in the Pacific Fleet and today retains its classical elegance and historical grandeur. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, children's Helumoa playground, the Abhasa Spa and a variety of boutiques.
The Azure Restaurant specialises in seafood whilst the poolside Surf Lanai serves al fresco breakfast and casual lunches. The Mai Tai bar meanwhile provides an incomparable setting for cocktails. There are 528 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites; those located in the Royal Beach Tower have a private lanai overlooking the ocean, whilst those in the historic main building offer views over the gardens and coconut groves.
