Situated in a grove of acacia trees on the banks of the Zambezi, Old Mondoro Bush Camp is uncomplicated and unpretentious. It is surrounded by good walking country making this the ideal camp from which to enjoy walks as well as game drives and river activities.

There are five reed and thatch chalets with canvas roofs and blinds that are left open in the day but lowered at night. Inside, double or twin beds are surrounded by mosquito nets, table and chairs with lanterns and simple wardrobes. Each chalet has a timber deck outside with comfortable daybed — great for relaxing and watching the passing game. The en suite bathroom has a basin, flush loo and new handmade outdoor shower and splash tub. The chalets are delightfully comfortable with rustic charm and a stay here makes you feel that you are in the heart of the bush, which of course you are! One chalet can be used as a family room, with an additional interconnecting twin bedroom.

In the center of the camp there is a dining room under thatch, with lovely views of the twinkling channels and small islands of the Zambezi. Activities from Old Mondoro include walking, game drives, night drives, boat cruise and canoe safaris. Set deep in the park it is surrounded by excellent game densities — we highly recommend it.
