Built in an imposing private 18th-century townhouse, Hôtel d’Argouges is an historic property, and the traditional artwork on its walls, chandeliers, and mosaic and parquet flooring give it a real elegance. You can wander out into Bayeux to explore the medieval city or relax in the hotel's gardens and courtyard. Situated in the heart of Bayeux, both Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Tapestry Museum are only a short walk away.
Spread across three buildings, the spacious rooms are ornately decorated in traditional Norman fashion with wooden beams and original antique furniture. Filled with natural light, rooms offer views of the courtyard or gardens.
While there's no restaurant on site, there are many within walking distance and the hotel staff will gladly provide their preferred suggestions. Breakfast is served in the dining room or in the garden.
Split between the main building, an annex, and a separate building, the rooms are bright, airy, and comfortably furnished. With wood-paneled walls and a classic Norman palette of gold and shades of red, the rooms offer a warm atmosphere to relax in after a long day exploring the city. All rooms have modern amenities including air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
You'll find several local boulangeries, patisseries, and restaurants within a few steps of the hotel. Bayeux’s most famous attractions are only a ten-minute walk away, including the Tapestry Museum and Notre-Dame Cathedral, as well as small boutiques and shops. Situated near the coast, Hôtel d’Argouges is a quick 25-minute car ride from the Normandy beaches.
