La Maison de Lucie

Honfleur, France

Named after the original owner, French poet Lucie Delarue-Mardrus, La Maison de Lucie is an elegant retreat in central Honfleur. It boasts a chic bar, reading room and petit salon complete with a fireplace, spiral staircase and impressive library.

Rooms are light and airy and decorated with antique chests, taffeta drapes and fresh orchids. Each morning begins with a breakfast of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses and other homemade treats and although there isn’t a restaurant, the courtyard is a pleasant refuge for an evening drink and there are countless bistros just a five minute walk away. For relaxation, there's a hot tub in the vaulted cellar.

Our opinion

Wonderfully chic, yet intimate and historic, La Maison de Lucie is one of our preferred hotels in Honfleur. Tucked away up a little cobbled side street, it is within walking distance of the main square while still exuding peace and quiet.
