On entering the Cipriani through its grand water taxi entrance, you immediately feel as if you’ve walked into a decadent past. Stroll past the swimming pool into the hotel lobby where you’ll experience the flawless service that this hotel is so renowned for. The beautiful gardens have Cyprus trees and quiet benches, which offer a wonderful respite from the summer heat, or you can enjoy a drink on the long terraces. The rooms are sumptuously decorated in the traditional Venetian style while still keeping the highest standard of modern amenities, and many have lovely balconies overlooking the water.
The rooms are large and light, with top quality antique furnishings, Venetian paintings and fantastic views. Not all of the rooms have balconies, but the ones that do are so inviting you may not want to leave your room. The bathrooms are lined with marble and have both showers and baths. Wi-Fi and TVs are also available in every room.
The Cipriani occupies a quiet corner of Giudecca Island looking out toward St George’s Island on one side and the lagoon on the other. The hotel offers a 24 hour free shuttle to St Mark’s Square, and even has its own private water taxi stop on the square itself so that you can benefit from easy access to the heart of Venice.
There is plenty of choice within this hotel to find the perfect dining spot without having to leave the island. Whether it be in the poolside terraced Porticciolo Restaurant, the Cip Club with its unparalleled views of St Mark’s Square, the Enoteca wine bar or the Michelin-starred Oro Restaurant, you will be spoiled for choice.
Dive into the large, salt water heated swimming pool to relax after a long day exploring the city, or enjoy an exhilarating game of tennis. The Cipriani caters to every guest, and even has its own children’s club to keep the little ones happy and entertained.
The Cipriani lives up to its reputation and although a little journey away from central Venice, this by no means detracts from its appeal but rather adds to its peaceful and secluded nature, far from the crowds. It offers first class luxury, service, and cuisine.
