The first of its kind, of which there are now two more in Rome and Florence, J.K. Place on Capri Island is designed by Michele Bonan, who successfully blends local heritage and fresh contemporary furnishings. Bold blues accentuate the crisp white walls with sleek monochrome floor tiles, a wealth of design books on the shelves, and tasteful modern artwork on the walls.

With a select number of rooms and attentive, charming staff, the main focus of this property is to ensure you feel at home. While the large swimming pool, outdoor gym, and spa go a long way toward reminding you of its five-star status.

This property offers the best in boutique luxury and makes you feel at home immediately. Every inch is classically styled along Italian Mediterranean lines. It is so highly sought after that we advise booking a year ahead.

Rooms

The rooms are minimalist in design and the stylish furnishings reflect the classic tones of Capri. The arched windows, wooden parquet floors and walls are painted a crisp white which give a fresh backdrop to the blues, oranges and blacks in the fabrics, and the views of the sea beyond. Each spacious room has a distinct character and leads out to a stone balcony. The bathrooms are lined with marble and many have nautical paintings on the walls. The minibar is complimentary and restocked daily.

Location

Upon arrival on Capri, you will disembark at the Marina Grand. J.K. Place is perched just above the Marina and is a short drive up. From here, you can reach Capri’s attractions by using the hotel’s free shuttle service, available until midnight. Catch a boat to Positano or Sorrento from the main port or take a bus to Ana Capri for the best views of the island.

Food and drink

The JKitchen Restaurant offers outside seating and is open in the mornings for both a buffet and à la carte breakfast as well as for lunch or dinner. There is a lounge bar, which spills out on to a terrace with coastal views, an excellent spot for a welcome drink, early evening aperitivos or late night cocktails. There’s also a poolside bar.

Facilities and activities

Beyond the hotel’s large swimming pool, J.K. Place has its own private access to the public pebble beach below. On the other side of the pool is a spacious gym with machines, both indoors and outdoors on the wooden decking. The spa uses products by Sisley and has an extensive selection of massages and treatments as well as a relaxing steam room and sauna.
