Elegant and charming, the Hotel Regina Palace is located close to the heart of Stresa, fronting on the lakeside promenade and surrounded by lush gardens. The hotel has some of the best views of the Borromean Islands and the surrounding waters. The hotel has been in existence since 1908 and its fin de siècle style has been lovingly maintained.
Each of the 224 rooms is decorated with antique furniture in a classic Italian style and the grand lobby is filled with period furniture, chandeliers and a grand staircase.

The hotel's 224 rooms are decorated in a traditional Italian style, with antique furniture and cream, gold and blue decor. Many rooms boast views of Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands, and others overlook the nearby park. All rooms have complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Location
This property is located on the mainland in the popular lakeside town of Stresa, just across from the Borromean Islands. Central Stresa, which has a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants, is a five- or ten-minute walk from the hotel. The main ferry port is just a five minutes away.
Food and drink
The hotel houses two different restaurants. Serving both breakfast and dinner, Liberty is sumptuously decorated with silver candelabra and antique furniture. In warm weather, guests can eat their meals on the lake-view terrace. Charleston is a more formal, dinner-only restaurant with a seasonally inspired menu. Guests can also enjoy an evening cocktail at the 1900 Bar, a spacious bar with live music and dancing.
Facilities and activities
The hotel has an open-air pool, a tennis court and a five-a-side football field. There is also a heated indoor pool, a steam grotto, sauna, Turkish bath and a gym. The spa offers a range of beauty and wellness treatments for an additional cost.
