Rekero Tented Camp is located inside the Masai Mara National Reserve, very close to the confluence of the Mara and Talek rivers. The camp is ideally situated for the annual migration and is within easy reach of several of the crossing points.

The camp is set up seasonally (June - October and December - March) and has just eight tents. All the tents are spacious and equipped with beds, simple wardrobes, hot showers and WC. There is also a family tent which has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shared bathroom with flush toilet and shower in the central area linking the two. A short way from the tents is a large dining tent where particularly good food is served.

Rekero is well known for its host, Jackson Ole Looseyia, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Il Dorobo Maasai from the local area. Whilst he is not guaranteed to be in camp, he is often there. Even when he isn't, Rekero's guides are some of the best in the Mara and the welcome is warm and friendly.

Watch out for the giraffe hiding in the trees, antelope on the plains and roosting birds. As the sun comes up the views are superb — one of the most beautiful sights in Africa.
