Kasbah Tamadot, Atlas Mountains, Morocco
Nestled in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, Kasbah Tamadot was discovered by Sir Richard Branson during a hot air ballooning adventure over Morocco. No expense was spared in restoring this remarkable building into a luxury boutique hotel, which was formally the home of an Italian interior designer. Many of the original features, traditional art and unique furniture collected by the former owner are seamlessly married with more modern comforts. Ornate lamps and carved decoration compete with the stunning mountain backdrop for attention, and each of the twenty-seven rooms and suites has been individually and exquisitely furnished.
Although traditional in style, Kasbah Tamadot also boasts an indoor and outdoor pool, a fully equipped gymnasium, spa with a Hammam, a large Jacuzzi and two tennis courts. For those who prefer to explore their surroundings, guided hiking with mountain picnics and mule trekking can all be arranged. Dining is a real highlight with delicious seasonal menu's combining both Moroccan and International cuisine, served in a variety of beautiful locations.
