Rooms
Rooms are spread across all areas of the hotel and offer views over the bustling square below or to the back across the terrace. Each room follows a similar contemporary style using a palette of mustard yellow, grays and blues with retro furniture and fixtures fitted around the original historic features. Rooms include coffee machines, complimentary minibars, smart TV, free Wi-Fi and many feature roll top bathtubs or rain showers. There is one family room which has a separate room with a triple bunk layout for children. This separate room is separated by a curtain for privacy and has its own TV and Xbox for entertainment.
Location
The Old Stocks Inn has a prime position in the town of Stow-on-the-Wold, overlooking Market Square which was the site of the historic sheep fairs during the heyday of the wool trade. These days however, it has been replaced by fortnightly farmers' markets. The town’s original penal stocks are also located on the green to the front of the hotel.
Food and drink
There are a range of dining options, from a sophisticated restaurant with a focus on modern British cuisine, to a relaxing bar area with a private terrace, where a pizza oven operates during summer. For a relaxed choice there is a small café at the front which offers a range of snacks and lunchtime options and spills out onto the pavement in the summer months.
