The former residence of Hvar’s Ivanić family, this two-story 16th-century palace overlooks the marina in Hvar Town. There’s just 15 simple but comfortable rooms, all of which combine original features such as exposed stone walls and wooden flooring with designer furniture and modern amenities.
Elsewhere, you’ll find an exterior courtyard, a flower-filled garden, and an open-air terrace restaurant serving Dalmatian cuisine and international dishes, and a relaxed lounge decorated with red and gold hues. For many, one of the hotel’s highlights is the on-site bar complete with comfortable seating, a fireplace, an extensive drinks menu, and live music performances in the summer months.

A small heritage hotel that’s big on character, Hotel Park Hvar is a well-priced option. We love its central location, warm and welcoming service, and grand views across the pine-scented Pakleni Islands.

Varying in size, all of the 15 rooms and suites have white walls featuring exposed stone, polished wooden furniture, plum hued couches and rugs, and tasteful soft furnishings. Modern amenities include air conditioning, underfloor heating, minibar, safe, telephone, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The tiled en suite bathrooms are on the small side and have walk-in showers. Some rooms have sea or city views with a balcony option. The Suites are substantially larger than the Standard rooms and offer more living space.
Location
Located on a peaceful pedestrian street just behind Hvar Town’s waterfront market stalls, Hotel Park Hvar offers wonderful views of the marina and the picturesque Pakleni Islands. Nearby attractions include the Franciscan Monastery, St. Mark’s Church, and the Cathedral of St. Stephen. You’ll also be within walking distance of several well-priced cafés and restaurants.
Food and drink
Overseen by Head Chef Marinko Visković, Restaurant Park Hvar presents a masterful Dalmatian and international menu prepared with seasonal and high-quality ingredients. Guests may dine either indoors or on the terrace overlooking the marina and the nearby Pakleni Islands. Breakfast is a traditional buffet with pastries, fruits, meats, cheeses, coffee, tea, and juices, all served on the terrace.
Facilities and activities
The hotel has a separate venue serving Croatian and international wines as well as creative cocktails. Guests can enjoy live soul, rock ‘n’ roll, swing, blues, and jazz performances on selected nights in the summer months.
