A Moorish-style castle built in the early 1900s, today Hotel Nimb’s fanciful design seems like just another of the follies at the adjacent Tivoli Gardens. Its onion dome and minaret-style towers are reminiscent of a Victorian-era rendering of an Arabian Nights-inspired fairytale, especially when lit up with the thousands of dazzling white bulbs that echo those found at the storied pleasure garden next door.
The 38 classically style dove- and steel-gray rooms offer a more sedate atmosphere inside, with antique furniture, fireplaces, freestanding tubs and four-poster beds. But some small touches echo the exterior — a black-and-white striped lampshade, a carved wood screen with a geometric pattern, an arabesque arch over the window.
The hotel’s central location means it’s close to many restaurants, but you can also take advantage of the eight different eateries inside the hotel, including Cakenhaven, a Danish pastry house. A rooftop pool, well-equipped gym, hammam and relaxation area offer ample opportunities to unwind.
OUR OPINION:
We love Hotel Nimb for its over-the-top style, opulent rooms and indulgent service. While its central location near the popular Tivoli Gardens means you might hear some noise from certain rooms, your stay includes entry to the gardens.

Each of the Nimb’s 38 rooms and suites has its own decor, but they all share a palette of moody gray and maroon, with dark-wood furnishings. The style is timeless, though the freestanding tubs are sculpturally modern. Rooms are all generously sized and have views over the Tivoli Gardens — admission is included for all guests. Many rooms also have a private balcony and most have fireplaces.
The room amenities include luxury bath products and indulgent robes and slippers, in addition to TVs and Wi-Fi.
Location
Right next to the Tivoli Gardens, the hotel is located in the heart of Copenhagen and is a short walk from many of the city’s main sights, including the National Museum of Denmark, Royal Theatre and Copenhagen City Hall.
