Well located in downtown Santa Barbara, guests are able to experience the town's beautiful views from the hotel's immaculate rooftop area, or enjoy delicious locally sourced food in Finch & Fork, the hotel's restaurant. All of the Kimpton Canary's rooms have a Mediterranean feel to them, many with generous four poster canopy beds. Just a short walk to the beach and an even shorter walk to boutique shops, the Kimpton Canary Hotel is a firm favorite.
The Kimpton Canary Hotel offers a variety of guest rooms and suite options, all with hard wood floors and either a king or two queen beds. The Guest rooms feature city views, four poster canopy beds and are well equipped with modern amenities. The Premier guest rooms boast a private balcony and luxurious Italian Frette linens. Alternatively, there are a number of Suites that offer greater space and comfort, all equipped with private balconies and furnished in a Mediterranean style. The highest category rooms at the Kimpton Canary Hotel are the three bedroom Nesting Suites, which are perfect for families and larger groups.
The hotel is just off State Street, which runs through the heart of Santa Barbara and is home to an extensive collection of boutique shops and some of California’s best restaurants. The hotel is also a twenty minute walk to the beach and the famous Santa Barbara pier.
Finch & Fork is the hotel’s restaurant and proves to be as popular with locals as it is with hotel guests, so booking is essential. It prides itself on sourcing its food from local producers, from fresh catch Pacific seafood to grass-fed beef from local farms. Guests are also able to enjoy cocktails in the Kimpton Canary's roof lounge while taking in the gorgeous Santa Barbara views.
Some guest rooms are able to accommodate a family in two queen beds and some suites offer a roll away bed or an extra bedroom. Santa Barbara is a great town for families to visit and the iconic sandy beach is a real winner. However, there is nothing specifically on offer for very young children at the Kimpton Canary Hotel.
The Kimpton Canary Hotel is elegantly decorated and offers great service, and remains one of our favorite hotels in Santa Barbara. The swimming pool is stunning and views from the rooftop are like no other in the town.
