Fairmont Copley Plaza

Fairmont Copley Plaza

Boston, The US

This luxury Boston hotel has been at the heart of the city's elegant social scene since its gala opening in 1912. Centrally located in Boston's historic Back Bay area, the Fairmont Copley Plaza is just steps away from Boston Public Library, historic Beacon Hill, and the Freedom Trail. Copley Place Mall and the boutique shops of Newbury Street are also nearby.

The hotel’s rooms are well designed and are in keeping with the historic charm of the hotel. Each offers a minibar, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi access. The OAK Long Bar and Kitchen is an American brasserie-style restaurant, located in the base of the hotel, offering an extensive menu.

OUR OPINION:

Despite its sometimes small room sizes, we like this property as it's ideally located for exploring the city, and also offers a deservedly popular restaurant.

Rooms

The Fairmont Copley Plaza has a variety of rooms and suites, all finished in a classic style. The Fairmont rooms are the coziest and have a variety of bedding configurations. The deluxe rooms offer more space and a full marble bathroom, while the signature rooms enjoy the same amenities as a deluxe but also offer views over Copley Square. The even larger studio rooms feature a sitting area, and the hotel also has a variety of luxurious suites.

Rooms here can be small and often only come with one chair (although you may request a second). There's also a charge for Wi-Fi.

Location

The hotel is located in Back Bay right on Copley Square, a public space known for its varied architecture and prominent city landmarks. Boston Common is within walking distance, while the district of Back Bay is home to a variety of restaurants and boutique shops.

Food and drink

The hotel’s restaurant, OAK Long Bar and Kitchen, serves classic American fare with a focus on local, farm-to-table ingredients. We highly recommend reserving tables in advance for all meals.

Families

There's a rooftop health club that's open 24 hours a day.
