A passion for travel has always been in my blood, thanks to being fortunate enough to go on exotic family holidays as a child.
I spent a year in Italy as part of my degree and explored the country during this time. Since then I’ve been ticking off places on my bucket list — the trouble is it keeps growing the more I see.
My first experience of Africa was my trip to Botswana post-Covid in 2022, and there’s nothing like seeing animals in their own habitat; it never stops being a thrill, nor do I stop being amazed by the incredible knowledge imparted by the guides and the sheer amount of information you learn on a trip. Since then, I’ve got the Africa bug and have visited Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar, and I’m keen to share my passion for these unforgettable experiences with you.

Q&A with Jenny
What’s your most vivid travel moment?
My arrival in the bush for the first time. It was my first safari to Botswana, and I’d been travelling for a long time from London to Jo’burg, then onto Maun and finally by plane to the landing strip in Dinaka. I just jumped into the jeep, and we went on our first game drive. I felt I’d been transported into another world, with the excitement that at any moment I might see an animal appear. That high is incomparable. And then I saw my first African sunset in the bush for Sundowners. It was a moment I will never forget.
Where would you love to travel next?
That’s a hard question to answer. There are still too many places to visit; however, Namibia would probably be the one. I really want to see the varied landscapes; for example, the immensity of the sand dunes at Sossusvlei or the dramatic scenery of the Skeleton Coast. But I’m also very keen to see and understand how animals have adapted to their environment, for example, seeing desert lions and elephants.
Your best piece of travel advice?
I think the best piece of advice I’d give is to allow time to be present — free from trying to capture that perfect shot on a camera or iPhone. Sometimes, just sitting back, taking in your surroundings, and marvelling at the sights, sounds, and smells around you can be more evocative than any image you take.
