After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel and depart for the Kiulu River. This takes around 90 minutes and is done on a private basis. Heading north toward the lush valleys of Mount Kinabalu you pass the towns of Inanam and Menggatal. As you approach the small town of Kiulu your guide will select a suitable starting point on the river. Meet the rest of the group you will be rafting with and then after you have been given your instructions and a safety briefing you will set off down the river.
The rafting will take approximately two hours and you will then have lunch before returning to Kota Kinabalu. The rafting here is grade 1-2. For the more experienced the Padas River further away might be preferable, though this is a great excursion for beginners or for the family.
