Located on the east bank of the Nile close to downtown Cairo, the Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo is one of the smaller luxury hotels in the city, and boasts a central location. There is a good range of facilities including three restaurants and two bars, a rooftop swimming pool with views overlooking Cairo and the Nile, plus a fantastic wellness centre and spa. Although the décor is due an update, the hotel is tastefully decorated and the attention to detail is impressive. Rooms and suites are spacious which is great if you are looking for additional space, or trying to accommodate the whole family. Some of the rooms also have views across the Nile and Cairo skyline. Service here is friendly, welcoming and attentive and there is a high ratio of staff to guests.

A fantastic base to explore Cairo, The Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo offers a good range of facilities and dining options, and the service is recommended. Although the property’s décor needs an update, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.

Rooms

With just over 130 rooms and around 50 suites, the Kempinski has an intimate feel to it. Rooms are elegant, spacious and equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect. This includes air-conditioning, coffee and tea making facilities, free Wi-Fi, and 24/7 butler service. The interiors could use an update, although rooms benefit from being bright and expansive. Rooms boast floor to ceiling windows which look out across the city or Nile. Suites have a separate bedroom and living area and are roughly double the size of the rooms. Suites are a great option for families, although interconnected rooms are also available.

Location

The Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo is situated in the heart of the affluent Garden City historic quarter, on the east bank of the Nile. Nile view rooms enjoy views across to Zamalek, an upmarket island in the middle of the river. The hotel is well connected and is a five-minute walk from downtown Cairo, and the Egyptian Museum.

  • Osmanly restaurant is a Turkish restaurant serving lunch and dinner on a daily basis.
  • The Blue Restaurant specializes in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.
  • The Rooftop is a rooftop terrace bar and restaurant serving international food and drink from the morning until the small hours. Great for a sundowner and dinner while enjoying views across Cairo.
