Rothman Manor Guesthouse
Swellendam, South Africa
Set in mature gardens, Rothman Manor is a small guesthouse located just off the N2 Highway in Swellandam. The guesthouse is comprised of three thatched Cape Dutch cottages and with just six rooms, is a peaceful, intimate retreat. Décor is light, but African prints and masks in the public areas provide interesting and unique focal points.
There are lots of areas in which to relax, including comfortable lounges, outside courtyards, a library and a swimming pool. The verdant gardens provide a tranquil setting, while the outdoor hot tub overlooks a paddock with zebra and springboks.
Andreas and Franziska own and manage the lodge. They're a friendly, welcoming couple who are full of information about the surrounding area and who will ensure that a warm and personal service is central to every stay here.
