Reef

Reef is a boutique hotel located directly on the coast in Wadduwa. Set within acres of gardens, the property is nicely laid out, offering a quiet and tranquil place to relax.

The property is owned by an Irish/British couple, who have used their passion for detail and comfort to design the property to a very high standard. The spacious bedrooms are extremely comfortable, complete with beautiful furniture (much of it handmade to the owners' exact specification) including 150-year-old Calcutta four-poster beds, and artifacts from India.

Whilst the property is small and exclusive, there is plenty of outside space. There is a pool, complete with pool bar, which is set in tropical gardens that lead up to a narrow stretch of beach, and a small, outdoor restaurant that specializes in seafood, but caters for a range of tastes. There is also a well run spa and a tennis court at the property.

The nearby railway line, which runs all along the southwest coast, does pass in the vicinity of the property. However, trains are infrequent, they don't normally run at night, and the track lies inland. Although it is handy for guests to know that it's there, it is unlikely to cause any disruption.

Please note that the property is home to two pet golden retrievers. Guests are welcome to take Fred and Wilma for walks along the beachfront.

Reef operates a non-smoking policy in all bedrooms and buildings in accordance to Sri Lankan law, however guests are able to smoke in the designated outdoor area.
