The Epicurean is a stylish boutique property, steeped in culinary heritage with a charming, hospitable service. The property places an emphasis on food and wine, with its renowned restaurant Elevage, a 40 seat culinary classroom, a splendid rooftop bar, and one of the largest selections of wine in the world.
All the guest rooms are of a good size and standard, tastefully blending the gastronomic theme with comfortable furnishings. Guests here are well located in the trendy and historic South Tampa, also known as SoHo, with a wonderful selection of restaurants, bars and cafés nearby.
OUR OPINION:
The hotel is well located in Tampa, just a few blocks cycle ride to the bay area (complimentary bikes are available). Rooms are a decent size and although the property is directly next to a freeway, little noise is experienced and the property does its best to disguise the road from guests' view.

Rooms at the Epicurean range from regular guest rooms through to junior and balcony suites. With plenty of natural light and natural wooden accents, all rooms boast an understated decor with stylish furnishings and plush, modern bathrooms. While the rooms overlooking the main road can be subject to exterior noise, SoHo is generally much quieter than downtown Tampa and, therefore, guests should not be overly disturbed.
Location
The hotel is ideally positioned on the attractive South Howard Street which is lined with eateries and bars. These play host to local Floridians basking in the sun during the day and become even livelier in the evenings. Staying here, you are ten minutes from downtown Tampa, close enough to enjoy a central location while still being removed from noisy crowds.
Food and drink
Food and drink form the bedrock of this property. With an extensive menu, daily happy hours and bar snacks available between mealtimes, the Epicurean caters to all tastes at all times of day. Choose to eat in the formal dining area or opt for the more casual rooftop bar overlooking the Tampa skyline. The Epicurean is particularly well suited to food enthusiasts, as the hotel is renowned for its service and cuisine. The pool area, however, can entertain all ages but be prepared for sophisticated dinners and large groups of young professionals in the bar and lounge area in the evenings.
Spa Facilities
The offsite spa, Evangeline, is adjacent to the hotel and offers a range of treatments. People come from far and wide to experience the Dulce Delight, which incorporates a caramel coffee salt exfoliant designed to energize and exfoliate your hands and feet.
