Anantara Hoi An Resort

Anantara Hoi An Resort

Beautifully set amongst lush tropical gardens and enveloped in the heady scent of frangipanis, the Anantara blends nicely into its surroundings. The resort's 94 rooms are all set in traditionally styled, two- or three-story townhouses reflecting Hoi An's history of trade with Holland, Japan, China and France. Each room is decorated with elegant blends of European and Asian styles and includes a private porch or terrace area with views over either the river or gardens. The hotel has the usual facilities of a modern hotel including a swimming pool and a spa that offers a range of specialist treatments - perfect for some relaxation at the end of a long day exploring Hoi An. Food options include a fine dining, an open-air restaurant offering a fusion menu of Western and Vietnamese cuisine and a Viennese-style cafe. The hotel is just a short walk from the town center and access to the Cau Dai Beach is easy, too, thanks to an on-demand shuttle bus.

Rooms

The resort has six room types each accommodating up to three adults. The smallest but still spacious options are the Deluxe and Deluxe Balcony rooms situated on the lower and upper floors respectively. Next in size are the Junior Garden, Deluxe Riverview and Premium Riverview suites each distinguished from their position in the resort. Junior Garden and Deluxe Riverview suites are nestled on the lower floors with garden and river views respectively, Premium Riverview suites are located on the upper floors with uninterrupted views out on to the river. The top room known as the Anantara Riverview Suite is twice the size of the other suites and boasts two living areas, separate bath and shower facilities and a spacious balcony area complete with swinging chairs.

Location

The hotel is ideally located just a couple of hundred meters away from Hoi An’s old town and in close proximity to many good restaurants and nightspots.

Food and drink

‘Lanterns’ is the signature restaurant of the resort and serves daily buffet breakfast and dinner. Nestled on top of the French style riverside café the eatery provides a wonderful vista to take in the sights and sounds of the river while enjoying some wonderful Vietnamese gastronomy. For something a little different the resident bar, O’Malleys, serves up a wide selection of cold beers, bar snacks and live sport. During the day lunch or snacks are also available at the ‘Reflections’ pool bar or the riverside café.

Families

Hotel rooms can accommodate up to three adults or two adults and one child. Connecting rooms are available upon request.

Facilities and activities

During your stay at the Anantara you may wish to take advantage of the hotel's complimentary yoga and informal Vietnamese language classes. Alternatively the hotel has a number of bicycles available to guests, offering a wonderful option for exploring Hoi An and the surrounding countryside. For those looking for a more relaxing mode of transport, the resort's boat offers sunrise and sunset river cruises, as well as regular transfers to the beach.

Our opinion

One of Hoi An's best located and most stylish options. A fantastic place to stay and currently the best quality hotel in the town center.
