I grew up as part of an adventurous family who were determined to travel the world — luckily, they took me with them.
From living in a small village in Norfolk to travelling to globally recognised landmarks such as The Great Wall of China and immersing myself in incredible cultures and exploring locally recommended food spots.
Upon graduating from university, I decided to head down under on a working holiday visa. Being so far away from home yet feeling a strong sense of belonging. I settled in Noosa, Queensland, where I worked and surfed on repeat.
I’m super excited to help advise Audley clients and share their excitement for exploring the world.

Q&A with Lucy
What’s the best local dish you’ve tasted?
I’d done extensive research to find the quirkiest dinner spot in Melbourne. I found a small wine bar down a narrow lane that had a special dish on the board, kangaroo ragu.’ I was initially conflicted about trying it, but I was glad I did, as it was delicious.
Your best piece of travel advice?
Don’t overpack. This simple piece of advice was something I didn’t listen to when I went to Australia. It’s not just inconvenient to have lots of belongings with you, but also challenging to bring back all the amazing items you might want to buy. Two suitcases and a backpack up the East Coast of Australia later, and I learnt the hard way.
What's your most vivid travel memory?
During a trip to China, I took a flight to Chengdu. Here, I chose to spend a day volunteering at a UNESCO World Heritage Panda Sanctuary. This was a truly eye-opening experience, yet not the most glamorous. I spent the day scrubbing and sweeping the enclosures, making sure the panda’s environment was clean and tidy. Later in the day, I made ‘panda cakes’ made from bamboo, fruit, and vegetables. These were later fed to the pandas, who were celebrating birthdays. To round off the day, I learnt about the efforts of the conservation, which is home to 30% of the world’s giant panda population. This experience was something I’ll never forget.
