Explore Lake Como on a private boat tour with your guide. Departing from Como you’ll head north along the glittering shoreline, studded with picturesque villages and elegant villas. Cruising along, your guide will explain the history of the lake, and tell you about the many European aristocrats and Hollywood glitterati who have properties here.
Arriving at the mid-lake area, you’ll stop in Tremezzo on the western side of the lake where you'll visit the stunning Villa Carlotta. Here you’ll be able to explore the villa’s extensive botanical gardens as well as the art collection within the house itself. Within the gardens you’ll find camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons along with a wonderful bamboo garden, ancient cedar trees and towering sequoias.
After visiting the gardens, head to the midpoint of the lake where the arms of its Y shape converge at the picturesque town of Bellagio. The boat will dock here allowing you to have some free time exploring the charming streets. Alternatively, you can relax with a coffee or snack at one of the many waterfront cafés.
Departing from Bellagio, you’ll head back down the length of the lake, following the opposite shoreline with its pretty waterfront villages as you return to Como. This tour includes the services of private guide and boat for a four and a half to five hour tour of the lake. Entrance tickets to Villa Carlotta are also included, along with around 45 minutes of free time in Bellagio.
