As a child, I was captivated by stories of the ancient tombs of lost civilisations, pyramids, and mummification. Discovering the beauty of Egypt and Jordan both independently and through Audley as an adult transformed and transcended my hopes.
Nothing can beat the first sight of Giza's pyramids in the early morning sun, the ancient wonders of Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel, the charm of modern Cairo, the awe of the city of Petra, and the endless desert expanse of Wadi Rum in Jordan.

What’s your most vivid travel moment?
Being the first arrival and having my first sight of the pyramids at 07:00 am in June 2024 completely alone. I’ve been to around 50 countries, but that was an unparalleled experience which fulfilled a lifelong goal, and I’m so grateful for it.
Where would you love to travel next?
Syria and Lebanon. I want to see more and more of the Arab world. Mexico and Moldova are also high on my list, as I’ve learned Spanish, Russian and Romanian (and now Arabic).
Best piece of travel advice?
Travel light, be careful with the sun, and take a good flask that keeps water ice cold. My first point leaves space for souvenirs, while the other two will keep you in top shape for your adventures.
