The Island House

The Island House

Nassau, The Bahamas

A luxe boutique hotel set on a palm-studded private estate in Nassau and overlooking the marina, The Island House features 30 bedrooms and suites with exclusive private beach access. The property has been carefully designed with laid back island life in mind and an emphasis on wellbeing, whilst ensuring an effortlessly understated style.

The communal areas are stylish and spacious, as is the sophisticated and contemporary range of rooms and suites, with many featuring ocean views or French doors opening onto a private terrace. Higher categories include poolside cottages with a variety of bedroom numbers. With wellness as a central theme of the hotel, there’s a variety of health, fitness and spa treatments available in their Bamford Spa, as well as a lap pool, 24-hour gym and daily yoga classes.

Evenings can be spent at the plush art-house cinema or dining in the two restaurants. Shima serves Southeast Asian cuisine while the Mahogany House offers Italian fare. Both offer an extensive, hand-picked wine list, all varieties of which are found at the daily wine market. Located only a five-minute drive from Nassau airport, The Island House is a secluded hideout merging contemporary luxury with authentic island life.

OUR OPINION:

We chose The Island House for its ability to effortlessly exude sophisticated style within the lush, natural surroundings of a private estate, with a welcome focus on wellness and relaxation.
