Located on the northern tip of Ilha de Tinharé, Morro de São Paulo is a former fishing village with a great location to explore the attractive beaches stretching either side around the island.

There are no cars on the island, which gives it a certain charm, although it has become increasingly developed, and there is a lively atmosphere, especially at night on the 'Segunda Praia' which comes alive with bars and live music, and is popular with backpackers.

Further south down the coast toward Boipeba, the beaches are quieter and can be quite deserted.

There are very few vehicles on the island, and you should expect to walk between the arrival port/airport and your hotel, which may be about 30 minutes on foot.
