The journey from the nearest city of Fortaleza can take up to five hours or more. Sandwiched between the Atlantic and huge white sand dunes it is a truly hidden haven.

Visiting Jeri

Jericoacoara, or "Jeri" to the locals, has some fine pousadas and great dining options along its sandy streets. It is also a popular destination for kite and windsurfers.

Excursions

Excursions from Jeri to the surrounding national park, beaches and mangrove swamp make for interesting excursions or relaxing on the town's own beach in front of its famous sand dune is a lovely way to spend a day.
