Rooms
One-bedroom cabins consist of a bed-sitting room (a spacious lounge, with the bed in the corner), while two-bedroom cabins have an extra bedroom, all of which face the water. Cabins include the use of a canoe that’s tethered just outside the door. All cabins have bath tubs with luxury toiletries. One cabin, the three-bedroom Crowe Cottage, is situated just down the road from the lodge on its own private waterfront. Wi-Fi is available in public areas only.
Location
The lodge is located in the heart of the wildlife-rich and heavily forested Algonquin National Park. The lodge is roughly a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Toronto, and just over a three-hour drive from Ottawa. The property itself is surrounded by native white pines and is set on the banks of the Lake of Two Rivers, overlooking its placid waters.
Food and drink
The restaurant is not licensed, but you’re able to bring your own alcoholic drinks. All meals are included in the price — including a packed lunch — so that you can head off by car or canoe exploring for the day. The à la carte menus change daily and in keeping with the seasons, with fresh fish, roasts and soups a regular feature.
Facilities and activities
Your stay at the lodge includes a park pass, allowing you entry to Algonquin Provincial Park, and the lodge offers a weekly presentation about the park, which all guests are welcome to join. Hiking and cycling trails surround the property, and the lodge can also help arrange fishing trips. The guest lounge is stocked with books and board games.
Accessibility
Several cabins are wheelchair-accessible.
