The property has been designed to respect the natural landscape, built using rock, water, glass, steel and wood and providing ample space for guests to relax in peace and privacy. Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow for lots of natural light and views of the deep blue ocean waves. Accommodation is in spacious suites that offer the flexibility of self-catering along with cozy fireplaces, providing a warm and relaxing retreat to come back to after a day spent out in the wilderness.
OUR OPINION:
Whilst this is quite a large hotel, we think it’s a great place in which to relax when not out exploring the scenic surroundings. You can sit back and enjoy beautiful views, eat great food and enjoy a little pampering.

Rooms
There are several different suite types, including studio, one bedroom and two bedroom options. All are spacious and come with kitchenettes or fully-equipped kitchens, living areas and views of the ocean and/or forest through floor-to-ceiling windows; decorated in a contemporary style using muted colors and natural materials to match the surroundings. Amenities include fireplaces, TVs, furnished balconies, Wi-Fi access and safes. The one bedroom options accommodate up to four guests, while the two bedroom suites have space for up to six guests. The Trails Suites located around the estate are fully self-contained, featuring dishwashers, stoves and microwaves.
Location
The property is 40 kilometers north of Tofino, on the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, close to the facilities and attractions of Ucluelet. The local area provides excellent opportunities for exploring the great outdoors, with the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and the Wild Pacific Trail both close by, as well as a scenic shoreline, wild beaches and dense rainforest filled with wildlife.
Food and drink
The resort's restaurant, the Fetch, is highly regarded for its excellent cuisine and superb views, while the Float Lounge and Patio offers guests a relaxing place to enjoy a drink and admire the vista below. The restaurants are available for lunch and dinner, whilst a continental breakfast can be pre-ordered for delivery to your suite.
Families
Many of the suites accommodate between four and six guests, and the option to self-cater makes this property particularly well suited to families.
Facilities and activities
On site is a fitness center and a hot tub, as well as the Drift Spa, which offers an extensive range of treatments. Barbecues can be hired at the hotel in the summer months, some of which you can take to the beach.
Ucluelet’s shops, restaurants and artisans are a 15-minute stroll away, and a wide variety of outdoor activities are available in the area; from surfing and hiking to fishing and kayaking.
