This resort, on the banks of Lac-à-l'Eau-Claire, is nestled among a seemingly evergreen forest. It’s an ideal base from which to explore Québec’s natural landscape.
There are a huge range of activities to choose from, whether it be hiking and mountain biking along the many tracks and trails or seasonal activities including swimming in the lake or snowshoeing. Dotted around the expansive grounds are pavilions and two- and three-bedroom condos, which are popular with families.

Photos of Lac à l'Eau Claire
We find this lakeside resort ideal for nature lovers, families and those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. It’s isolated location makes it easy to find a peaceful spot to enjoy the surroundings, and there are plenty of activities to help you explore.
There are 23 contemporary rooms in the main inn building, many with views right across the lake. Larger rooms and suites are clustered in wooden-slatted pavilions scattered around the grounds while private cottages and condos are tucked between the trees. Ideal for families, the cottages have four or five rooms, with pine walls and a log fire for a rustic country feel.
Right on the edge of Lac-à-l'Eau-Claire, the hotel backs on to a series of smaller lakes and a meandering river.
There are plenty of points of interest nearby including Cite de Lienergie theme park and Ste-Ursule Waterfall Park. You’re also a short drive from La Mauricie National Park and Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve.
Food and drink
The hotel restaurant looks out across the lake, with log fires lit for a cozy evening ambiance. There’s a focus on local cuisine including fresh-caught trout, bison and deer. Children are well-catered for, and the chefs are happy to tailor food you meet your requirements. You can try an apéritif before dinner in the bar — we suggest the Cocktail du Lac, the house special.
