While Yopal may lack the charm of the boutique properties that dot Colombia, the Hotel Estelar offers a clean and comfortable stay that is a perfect place to rest your head after a long day of exploring the wild llanos region. The hotel mainly services business clients but the staff’s welcoming and helpful approach to hospitality actually makes for an inviting ambiance which is also helped in part by the hotel’s modern design.
Every room features air-conditioning, cable TV, and hot water. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a nice on site restaurant.
OUR OPINION:
At the moment this is the best option in the region and situated close the main plaza. It does have the esthetics of a business hotel but service is friendly, helpful, and warm.

The hotel’s 74 rooms are divided between standard and a junior suite category — the latter is a big upgrade in terms of space and offers an additional living area. Every room features air-conditioning, cable TV, and hot water.

The hotel is just a few blocks away from the main square. Around the square are restaurants, shops, pharmacies, and anything else a visitor can need. It also serves as a nice place to simply sit and watch the slow pace of life unfold.

The hotel itself features a simple restaurant on the first floor and is in close proximity to some delicious restaurants serving up traditional Colombian barbecue food.
