Experience the thrill of snowmobiling as a family, following forest trails and a dedicated children’s track.
In Finland, snowmobiles are a way of life, with many using them simply to get from A to B. On this three-hour private tour, you’ll get to experience the thrill of gliding through powdery snow on a snowmobile for two. Meanwhile, children will ride in a sturdy sled pulled along by your guide’s snowmobile, so you can take in Finland’s glistening landscapes together. Afterwards, younger riders aged 4 to 12 get the chance to ride their own miniature snowmobile on a dedicated track.
Ahead of your outing, you’re kitted out with thermal layers, boots, gloves, and safety gear, and given a briefing on how to operate your snowmobile. Then, you mount your vehicle (either one or two adults per snowmobile) and spend an hour exploring the icy wilderness, following your guide through snow-laden forests and frozen swamps. As you whizz through the landscape, the children sit comfortably in their sled taking in the same sights and feeling their own rush of excitement.
You’ll get a chance to pause and take photos, as well as switch drivers if you’d like, before heading back. It’s then your children’s turn to ride their own smaller, lighter snowmobile for ten exhilarating minutes on a dedicated track and under expert supervision. Shortly after, you can warm up and relax in a wooden house with hot chocolate and marshmallows.
