This morning your local guide will collect you from your hotel for a private walking tour of the city. This orientation tour will uncover the city’s history, with a focus on some of the more significant World War II sites.

Today you have a day to leisurely explore Munich on your own, perhaps wandering its historic core, outdoor food market, or visiting the many museums and manicured gardens.

This morning you will be collected by your private driver and travel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where after settling in you’ll have time to explore this picturesque Bavarian town. You will stay here for two nights.

Today you’ll travel to Oberammergau to watch the 42nd edition of Passion Play, returning to your hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen later this evening. During the Thirty Years War, plague swept across many parts of Europe, including Oberammergau. In 1633 the villagers made a vow to perform the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ every tenth year if they could be spared any more death. And so, in 1634, the first play took place and the promise has been kept ever since.

This morning you will be brought to the Munich train station and, leaving Germany, you’ll travel across the border into Austria and to your hotel in the city of Innsbruck.

This morning your private guide will collect you from your hotel and together you will explore Innsbruck on foot. Enjoy seeing iconic sites such as the ‘Golden Roof’ and the Olympic Bergisel Ski Jump.

Today you will be brought to the train station and travel to Mozart’s hometown of Salzburg where you will spend your final two nights.

After breakfast at your hotel, your private guide will accompany you on a walking tour of Salzburg, regaling you with the history of the city and pointing out some popular landmarks, such as film locations from the Sound of Music, and the medieval Hohensalzburg Fortress.
