The Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese feels more like a boutique property than a chain hotel. With high levels of service and amenities, it boasts a charm that is all its own, perched on the hillside by the extensive Villa Borghese public park and just a short walk to the Spanish Steps below. Inside the decor is classic but contemporary with many modern touches that help to bring the property to life. The highlight though is the roof terrace bar and fine dining restaurant which offers wonderful panoramic views out across the Eternal City to St Peter’s Basilica and beyond.
All the rooms at the Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese are comfortably furnished and boast modern amenities such as Bose stereos and large flat screen televisions. The modern marble bathrooms are all finished to a high standard and all include a bathtub with a large fitted rain-shower overhead. Rooms increase in size from the more compact, but perfectly comfortable, classic and superior styles through to the larger luxury room and prestigious suite options. All rooms also feature air-conditioning, a well-stocked minibar, an Apple iPod docking system, Wi-Fi and an electronic safe.
Located on the edge of Villa Borghese park and gardens and a ten minute walk down to the Spanish Steps, the Sofitel Rome is in an excellent location for exploring the city’s sights. The Trevi Fountain and Pantheon are both easily reachable on foot in around 25 minutes.
Breakfast is served just off the main lobby and the buffet has a good choice with a small selection of hot options available. During the day, the rooftop terrace restaurant and lounge bar offers a light menu along with gourmet dining in the evenings. With incredible views across the city, it’s also an excellent spot to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset.
There’s a 24-hour concierge service on offer at the hotel should you need any assistance or restaurant reservations during your stay.
Right in the heart of Rome, the Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese is an excellent and comfortable option. We particularly recommend the rooftop terrace for a sunset drink as the views are exceptional.
