Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • On arrival you will be met at Florence airport and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the day will then be yours to rest after your flights or start exploring.

  • This morning enjoy a guided bicycle tour of Florence. This privately guided tour will take in all the key highlights of the city from the iconic Duomo and Ponte Vecchio through to lesser known areas such as the charming Piazza Santo Spirito. En route there will be time to stop and sample some local delicacies, enjoy an Italian coffee and of course taste some gelato. In the afternoon you will have some free time to explore at your leisure.

  • Enjoy a full day private tour exploring the two world-class art galleries of Accademia and the Uffizi with a local art expert. The Uffizi is home to masterpieces such as Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus' and da Vinci's 'The Annunciation'. In the Accademia you will find Florence's most famous resident — Michelangelo's wonderful 'David'. This is a long but rewarding day and a marvelous introduction to Florence's art legacy.

  • Departing from Florence, you spend today exploring more of Tuscany. You start with a privately guided tour of Siena, including its famous cathedral, which features one of the most impressive façades in the country, as well as the sprawling Piazza del Campo, which hosts the 'Palio' horse race every summer. Continuing on, you stop for lunch at a traditional Tuscan farmhouse that overlooks vineyards and olive groves. Before heading to your hotel in the Tuscan countryside, you have a short stop to explore the beautiful medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano.

  • Enjoy a cooking class this morning in a historic Tuscan castle. The exact recipes are determined by the season but are all strongly rooted in local tradition. Try your hand at making pasta from scratch or whipping up a tasty tiramisu. After spending the morning working in the kitchen, relax and enjoy the delicious meal you created. The rest of the day is yours to relax in the beautiful hotel grounds or perhaps take a dip in the pool.

  • Departing from your hotel this morning, you travel through the Tuscan countryside to Pisa where you can stop for a tour of the Campo dei Miracoli and a chance to climb the leaning tower. You then continue on to reach the coast, passing the marble mines at Carrara and then around the Bay of Poets to Porto Venere.

  • Spend today exploring the villages of the Cinque Terre with your guide, journeying by ferry along the coast for some beautiful panoramic views. Best accessed from the water, the charming villages each have their own unique character and history which is explained by your guide as you explore.

  • Heading back to the Cinque Terre again today, you spend the day enjoying a hike along the vertiginous coastline with an expert walking guide. Renowned for its walking trails, you can enjoy sweeping views of this incredible coastline en route.

  • Departing from Porto Venere this morning with your private guide, you'll explore some of the lesser known highlights of northern Tuscany particularly the charming town of Pontremoli.

  • This morning you're transferred the short distance to Pisa airport to check in for your flights.
