Hiking in Wadi Rum

Things to do in Jordan

Hiking in Wadi Rum
Jordan lies on the path of an ancient trade route and the successive waves of voyagers left behind an impressive array of castles, forts and churches, the most famous of which is Petra, the magnificent rock-cut city. Hidden from outsiders until the early 19th century, it’s worth at least a full day to explore.

Other things to see and do include a trip to the Dead Sea to enjoy its numerous spas and test its healing properties, a jeep tour through the arid, rocky scenery of Wadi Rum to admire the desert landscape, or a hike through the Dana Nature Reserve, home to over 200 bird species.
