A walking or trekking vacation is a good way to experience this part of Morocco. You'll start in a 4x4 vehicle and drive about two hours to the village of Tassa Ouirgane, situated near the Toubkal National Park at an attitude of 4,000 feet. From here starts your trip through forests of oaks and juniper trees, to Azzaden Valley.
In Azerfzane and Irkoublinecross, you'll come across remote villages of Amazigh people. Then you'll stop for a picnic lunch near the river in Tiziane. You continue the hike to the village of Taliouine (6,000 feet), where your driver waits to drive you back to Marrakesh.
The total hike time is around six hours.
