Kwandwe Private Game Reserve - Great Fish River Lodge
Kwandwe Private Game Reserve - Great Fish River Lodge, Eastern Cape Game Areas, South Africa
Kwandwe is situated in a private reserve totaling an impressive 22,000 hectares, offering a visitor density far lower than most other game parks and reserves in the Eastern Cape.
With accommodation for very few guests on a large reserve, Kwandwe offers one of the most exclusive game viewing experiences in the Eastern Cape. The lodge itself is situated on a cliff overlooking the Great Fish River, and has been decorated to the highest standards with a strong African influence. African art, carved wood, and bold patterns in simple colors abound in the public areas, which combine wonderful views and a sense of space with comforting intimacy. The suites are in individual units spread along the cliff edge, with their entire front side given over to glass, affording wonderful views of the valley. The same strong sense of African design prevails, with thatched roofs, stone floors and dark woods, without ever compromising the sense of exclusivity and luxury. With good concentrations of game, the safari experience will be exciting and informative, with superb rangers to explain all the action to you.
