Le Domaine De L'Orangeraie is an attractive property located in the northwest corner of La Digue. Le Domaine is just steps away from the beach and is set in beautiful tropical gardens and forest.
The villas and suites — all 55 of them — overlook the gardens, some with views down to the sea below. For a small hotel, there are lots of facilities including a small spa with stunning views, an infinity pool with pool bar and plenty of loungers, and a restaurant overlooking the sea serving Mediterranean and Creole food with a mix of buffet and à la carte options available.
The 20 Garden Villas are superbly furnished with the theme being bright, clean, modern decor with most of the furniture having been imported from Bali. They feel modern, well-appointed and spotlessly clean and have an en suite with modern open rainfall shower room with unique stone walls. They are closest to the main areas and beach.
The Villa de Charme rooms are the next step up and are beautifully elegant with a Balinese style. They are luxury thatched villas located in the sloping hills, offering wonderful views of the tropical gardens. The spacious villas have one bedroom, a bathtub, a rain shower and a large terrace. The Villa De Charme Elegance are the same as the Villa De Charme but have an additional whirlpool and are slightly more secluded. There is also a Presidential Villa further up the hillside.
Le Domaine offers a great place to either relax by the pool or from which to explore this sleepy island under your own steam. The main pool area is very attractive and the sunsets over the sea from the pool bar are picture-perfect.
