Itinerary idea in detail

Private customized tour. Ask us about booking your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Upon arrival in Seattle, make your way from the airport to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax after your flight or start exploring Seattle.

  • Spend the day discovering Seattle. There's lots to see, including the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Pacific Science Center and an excellent 'Underground Tour'. Aviation enthusiasts should not miss a tour of the nearby Boeing factory or the Museum of Flight. Further afield there are some excellent vineyards and picturesque Snoqualmie Falls.

  • Make your own way back to Seattle Airport for your flight north to Juneau. The rest of the day is free to discover Alaska's small and compact capital.

  • Today, you will join a thrilling helicopter tour to the spectacular nearby Mendenhall Glacier. See lush rainforest, deep blue crevasses and glacier-carved peaks before the helicopter lands on the glacier. You will then embark on an exciting dog-sledding trip. After receiving instructions and hearing about Alaska's famous Iditarod dog-sled race, you will spend around 25 minutes dog-sledding on the glacier before boarding your return helicopter flight.

  • Make your way to the cruise ship dock to board your UnCruise cruise ship. Having checked in to your cabin, enjoy a glass of wine as the ship sets sail for the wilderness of Endicott Arm. During your cruise, all meals and drinks are included, as are from-the-vessel activities and equipment, and use of the hot tub, fitness equipment, and yoga mats.

On board ship, Uncruise 'Alaska Fjords & Glaciers'
  • Awake at Endicott Arm where you will find fjord cliffs, floating ice, and deep U-shaped valleys. At the end of the fjord, admire the beautiful Dawes Glacier. Tides permitting, you will be able to get closer to the towering cliffs and waterfalls by kayak. Watch for mountain goats as you admire the scenery.

  • Optional yoga stretches on deck start the day. Humpback and orca whales are frequently seen as the ship navigates Stephens Passage to Port Houghton. Here you can go kayaking, looking for sea stars and shore birds, or take a guided hike into the Tongass National Forest with its hanging waterfalls and vivid shades of green.

  • Arrive in Thomas Bay and Wrangell Narrows today to admire the glacial landscapes marked by moraines, muskegs, and mud. Here you can kayak and skiff in water almost clear as glass or hike through the outwash of Baird Glacier. Later you will pass the fishing town of Petersburg before navigating the Wrangell Narrows.

  • Wrangell is one of the oldest towns in Alaska, having been governed by four nations, and today you can learn all about the Tlingit culture that has deep roots here. After a presentation on board you venture into town to see recently carved totem poles at Kiksetti Totem Park and to step inside Chief Shakes Tribal House.

  • In the remote waterways of the Behm Canal and Tongass National Forest, wildlife abounds, so do keep a lookout for black bears, mink and eagles. On the Cleveland Peninsula, your expedition team leads a low-elevation hike with wide-stretching views. In the water orca, porpoises, seals, and otters may be seen. You may like to take a guided paddle along the canal or an intertidal shore walk to a tall sea stack covered in green.

  • Misty Fjords National Monument is known for its magnificent unspoiled scenery and peace. Here you will find glacial valleys filled with seawater, sheer 3,000 ft cliffs, seabirds, grizzly and black bears, mountain goats and Sitka black-tailed deer. You can kayak in Walker Cove or Rudyerd Bay or go by skiff to the base of a waterfall. The captain will join his guests this evening at a farewell dinner.
