Komil Bukhara Boutique Hotel

Bukhara, Uzbekistan

Stay in an authentic, 19th century merchant’s home in the heart of Bukhara’s Jewish Quarter.

With its ornately carved wooden façade and richly decorated interior, Komil Bukhara Boutique Hotel offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the opulence and warmth of traditional Bukharan hospitality. Built in the 19th century for one of the wealthiest Jewish merchants in the city, the house has been transformed into a boutique, family-run hotel, retaining its authentic character and charm at every turn.

The serene central courtyard, filled with dappled sunlight, leads into rooms that are lavishly hand-painted and adorned with bright textiles. The hotel’s home-cooked breakfast is served in the historic dining room where the walls are a mirage of mosaics and mirrors. Centrally located within Bukhara’s Old Town, the hotel offers you an immersive stay, with the sights of the city a short stroll away through the narrow, cobblestoned streets.

Rooms

With their rich decor and bright pigments, rooms at Komil Bukhara Boutique Hotel are a feature in themselves. Bold painted patterns and mosaics bring each wall to life and hand-embroidered, traditional Suzani textiles adorn each bed. You’ll be surrounded by the traditional design, hues, and fabrics of Uzbekistan.

This is a conversion from a family home, which means some rooms are a bit small, but choosing a Deluxe room rather than a Standard will give you a slightly larger area.

Location

Komil Bukhara Boutique Hotel lies in the Jewish Quarter of the Old Town, noted for its mudbrick houses and narrow alleys. This means you’ll be dropped a short walk from reception on arrival. The city’s main sights are within an easy walk — it’s just five minutes to the Lyabi-Hauz complex with its many restaurants and shops, and ten minutes to the Kalyan Minaret.

Food and drink

  • Home-cooked breakfast served daily in the atmospheric dining room or central courtyard.
  • Dinner is available on request, featuring traditional home-cooked Uzbek dishes.
