The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino

Located in the heart of Las Vegas and offering easy access to the city's attractions, The Venetian is one of the largest resort hotels in the world. It aims to evoke the romance of Venice with a 36 story Venetian tower, canals winding through the property and sumptuous decor with marble flooring and vaulted ceilings. With a wide array of facilities and amenities, and high-level service throughout, it is one of the city's leading hotels.

This all-suite property has extremely spacious rooms that set the standard for superior suites across the city. Each has a sunken living room with a dining table and HDTV, and a marble bathroom with double sinks and oversized baths. Between the resort and its sister property the Palazzo next door, there are numerous dining options to choose from including fine dining by celebrity chefs and casual fare from around the globe. A particular favourite is Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro with its outdoor patio and views of the strip.

The Venetian hosts many of the most popular Las Vegas shows and guests can enjoy a wide range of performances on their doorstep. There are also several pools and a spa, as well as gondola rides and Madame Tussauds waxworks.

Rooms

The suites at The Venetian are generously designed and larger than those in most Las Vegas hotels. Each has a separate living area on a different level, a dining table and a marble bathroom with double sinks and an oversized bath. The decor is elegantly refined in a contemporary but classic style with plush fabrics and fine linens in muted tones. Remote-controlled window blinds, HDTVs, Wi-Fi and iPod alarm clocks are standard features.

Location

The Venetian is centrally located on the Las Vegas strip and offers easy access to numerous casinos, shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel and its sister resort, The Palazzo, are connected by the Grand Canal Shoppes, an enormous shopping mall where you’ll find lively St. Mark’s Square.

Food and Drink

The Venetian and its sister resort The Palazzo offer numerous dining options that cover cuisine from around the globe including French fine dining, Italian-themed steakhouses, American diners, Asian bistros and Mexican classics, with many restaurants led by celebrity chefs. A particular favourite is Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro with its classic steakhouse menu, wide variety of Californian wines and outdoor patio with views of the strip.

Families

The resort's spacious rooms, swimming pools, gardens and numerous dining options make it a good option for families, while the bustling Saint-Mark’s Square inside the mall often has live entertainment.

Facilities and Activities

Between The Venetian and The Palazzo guests have ten pools and five hot tubs to choose from. There are two exclusive day clubs, the more traditional Tao Beach and the fashionable Aquatic Club, private pool cabanas to rent and gardens filled with statues and blooms. The resort's high-end shopping mall is home to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, which offers a wide range of spa treatments and fitness classes, as well as two nightclubs.

Our opinion

Extravagantly designed and in a great location, this is the quintessential Las Vegas-themed hotel. All the suites are large and comfortable and with such a wide range of dining options you may never need to leave.
