Surrounded by the lush forestry of Gorham, New Hampshire, The Glen House stands tall and elegant in the foreground of Mount Washington. With just 68 rooms and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, the hotel's design is modern yet nods to its 1800 beginnings. The hotel's energy consumption is reduced with the use of LED lighting throughout the hotel and a hydro-generator produces around 80% of the electricity needed to run the hotel. The outdoor fire-pit is fired with propane in order to maintain the Class I air quality standard found in the Great Gulf Wilderness area.

Location
Located at the base of the Mount Washington Auto Road, the hotel offers easy access to the highest point in New England. There are a variety of hiking trails, the cog railway, and lots of wildlife in the surrounding area. For those visiting in the winter, it is also very close to the ski slopes at Wildcat Mountain.
Food and drink
The onsite Notch Grille restaurant offers breakfast and dinner every day and also lunch on the weekends. The restaurant has great views of Mount Washington with a menu focusing on comfort food sourced from local farmers.
