The Zanzibar Archipelago's dry season from July to September is a very popular time to travel. However, most times of year are worthwhile, with balmy temperatures and sunshine the norm. During the short rains in November and December, downpours are followed by blue skies, with only the peak of the 'long rains' in April and May being very wet.
Erin, Africa Safari Specialist
Zanzibar feels hot and exotic at almost any time. I really like it during the short rains of November and December because there are fewer people and good deals, the showers give me a rest from the sun and the weather is still a million times better than at home.
